ECDA – Submission open!

Dear Colleagues,

as you may know, the 5th European Conference on Data Analysis (ECDA) will take place in Paderborn, Germany, from July 4th to 6th 2018. The conference is supported by the European Association for Data Science and devoted to theoretical as well as application-oriented research on topics in the realm of data science, with a specific focus on data analytics. In the last couple of years, it has attracted around 200 researchers and practitioners from statistics, data analysis, machine learning, knowledge discovery, and related fields. For more information about the conference, please visit the website at http://www.ecda2018.de.

As part of the ECDA conference, I am organizing a special session on „Bioinformatics and Biostatistics„. Being aware of your scientific achievements and important contributions relevant to this topic, it is my pleasure to invite you to give a presentation in the session. Here is some relevant information you might be interested in:

— To give a talk, you only need to send a title and abstract, i.e., no full paper is required. The abstract submission deadline is April 1st. When submitting the abstract, please make sure you mark it as a contribution to the special session. Of course, you also need to register for the conference, once your abstract is accepted.

— Full papers will be published as post-proceedings in the newly launched Journal „Archives of Data Science, Series A“ after the conference. Submission to the post-proceedings is offered to all participants, but is not compulsory. Submitted papers will undergo a standard review process.

— The normal time slot for a talk in a session will be around 20-25 minutes.

— Invited contributions to special sessions will be marked as such in the conference programme.

I sincerely hope you will accept this invitation. Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

With kind regards,

Dominik Heider
