We are looking for the Head of Medical Informatics (postdoc) for five years starting in January 2019.

The applicant will be responsible for the development of federated machine learning models, in particular Classifier Ensembles for clinical settings. He will lead the Medical Informatics Division of the Department of Bioinformatics.

Experience in machine learning, medical informatics, federated models, or regulatory aspects of software as a medical device are a plus. We expect the candidate to have a PhD in computer science, bioinformatics, medical informatics, data science, statistics or a similar field, good programming skills, and the willingness to  work in an interdisciplinary collaborative project together with partners from different areas. He/She should have experience in supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, including phd students.

He/She will be paid according to TVH-13 (i.e., approx. 55.000€ – 60.000€ per year depending on experience)
